From Choirs to Wires: Preston’s Story

Preston is a three-time state champion a cappella performer, but outside his love for singing, he’s an aspiring electrical line worker. He’s studying the trade at Northwest Lineman College and is excited to pursue a hands-on field. From hitting the high notes to hitting high up electrical lines, Preston is primed for his next chapter.

College: Northwest Lineman College, studying Electrical Linework

  • I have always loved working with my hands, and electricity is a fantastic field of work.

  • This scholarship will provide me with funds to pursue my education and career goals, and focus more of my time on my schooling.

  • My dad has always pushed me to work harder than I think I’m able to, and to try new things and experiences.

  • I’m exited for the familiarity of school with a new twist of linework.

  • I am a three-time state champion in high school a cappella choir. I love to sing!

  • Knowing everything about electricity would be nice.

  • I would spend it with my friends and family outside.
