SEFF Joins Forces with Rise Against Hunger Team in Global Hunger Fight
The Shared Energy Future Foundation (SEFF), alongside volunteers from Valero and the Western States Petroleum Association, was honored to host California state leaders—Senator Bob Archuleta, Assemblywoman Blanca Pacheco, and Senator Aisha Wahab—for our inaugural day of service with Rise Against Hunger. Together, we packaged 10,000 ready‑to‑eat, nutritious meals destined for communities across the globe in need of reliable food access.
This partnership aligns closely with Rise Against Hunger’s mission to end hunger through volunteer-led meal packaging and holistic, community-based solutions. They focus on reaching remote, food‑insecure areas and work with local partners to tackle both immediate hunger and long-term resilience—supporting school nutrition, health, and income programs for vulnerable children and families.
As SEFF and our partners look ahead, it’s clear that fighting hunger isn’t just about food—it’s about dignity, education, and the chance for individuals to thrive. We’re proud to take this first step with Rise Against Hunger and honored to have state leaders by our side as we continue to build a foundation of service, learning, and shared impact.
