Supporting STEM Success at Los Medanos College

In December, the Shared Energy Future Foundation proudly awarded $1,500 to the Los Medanos College Foundation in support of STEM education. The LMC Foundation has been dedicated to connecting resources from corporations, foundations, and individuals to students since 1997, ensuring that financial barriers don’t stand in the way of education and career-technical training.

With this grant, SEFF directly contributed to LMC’s mission of building essential pathways—funding scholarships, teaching facilities, programs like nursing, engineering, and emergency medical tech, and emergency support such as childcare and rent assistance. Their motto, “You believe, they achieve,” rings true in every student who receives backing to pursue their potential.

We’re thrilled to support a foundation that has awarded more than 6,000 scholarships, helped students transfer to four-year institutions, and funded over $10 million in grants across key technical programs. Together, SEFF and LMC are strengthening workforce development in STEM and ensuring students from all backgrounds have the opportunity to succeed.
