An Environment of Energy and Community: Meet Stephanie

An environmental science class in high school sparked something in Stephanie. She learned about the interconnectivity of environmental issues and climate change, which set off a passion that has since shaped her academic pursuits. She is studying environmental engineering and, thanks to receiving a 2024 SEFF Scholarship, hopes to research and advocate for low-income communities of color that are disproportionality affected by inadequate infrastructure and exposed to environmental hazards so that these communities are supported and elevated.
