Packing with Purpose: SEFF Builds HeroBoxes with Heart

On September 17, the Shared Energy Future Foundation gathered WSPA employees, member companies, and WSPA Associates for a team-building volunteer event that did more than just boost morale—it delivered it.

Together, we assembled HeroBoxes: care packages thoughtfully filled with essentials, snacks, and handwritten notes for deployed service members. But what made this event truly special was the way it transformed a simple act of giving into something bigger.

With the help of Best Corporate Events & Team Building, what could’ve been a quick packing project became a two-hour experience full of laughter, connection, and purpose. Volunteers broke into teams, collaborated through creative challenges, and every person had an opportunity to write personal messages of thanks to accompany each HeroBag—each of which was packed and shipped that same day.

It was a powerful reminder that even in giving back, we gain something, too: stronger relationships, shared values, and a deeper sense of purpose.
